As for many others, I was instinctively drawn to yoga during a wobbly time in my life.

Feeling uncertain and doubtful, I was seeking answers to many questions. Physical asana classes began to merge with meditation, pranayama, kundalini, philosophy; a package which gradually crystalized my vision and things fell into place.

Fifteen years later, I’m hugely grateful to the amazing past and current teachers who have inspired and enriched me on my way; in particular, Anna Ashby, Ayala Gill, Nadia Narain, Jeff Phoenix, Joey Miles, Susannah Hoffman and Coco Murano. My Teacher Training (350 hours) was at London’s Triyoga (Anna Ashby, Joey Miles), later complemented by qualifications in Pregnancy Yoga (Nadia Narain), Postnatal Yoga (Nadia Narain) and Restorative Yoga (Anna Ashby).

Now I teach bespoke one-to-one classes in London, private summer courses in the Stockholm archipelago, yoga for charity, and themed yoga and meditation group classes at events. I’m also passionate about running retreats at Château de Beauregard in Provence. I simply love teaching yoga to every type of person; from complete beginners to advanced practitioners, stressed-out executives, athletes, mothers-to-be, new mothers… each person teaching me something new. My classes are tailormade to suit different levels and needs. They can be dynamic, meditative, restorative, flowy and are often a combination of these.

After my last pregnancy and birth, I knew that teaching pregnancy yoga was something I very strongly wanted to do. I needed to share its benefits. And I still find it an honour to share the journey of pregnancy and to help encourage an environment of self-care, compassion, acceptance, physical and emotional strength and feminine energy.  Also, I’ve always had this fascination with how we deal with change. Recently I realised that even here things are connected. In my other work as a business coach I spend much of my time talking to leadership about preparing for and adapting to change (in company mergers for example). And in pregnancy yoga we can guide mothers to embrace change and to better understand what to let go of and what to focus on to make the most of the pregnancy for mother and baby.

I also feel thankful for the privilege to teach refugees at Migrants Organise as they have taught me patience of a whole different dimension. Many of them suffer badly with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Yoga for me is so much more than a physical practice. It gives us a priceless foundation of inner strength, courage and clarity; leading us to infinite possibilities. It opens up our senses to fully enjoy the present. It calms us and makes it easier to connect with both ourselves and others. It challenges us at all levels. It makes us feel great and is fun.

Reviews.

“Angelica’s classes are an absolute joy. Her teachings are delivered with warmth and authenticity, bringing about a sense of calm, while also reminding the students about their own endless capabilities.

Her insight into the teachings comes from years of practice and a genuine interest in Eastern philosophy. There’s a sense of trust and compassion there too, perfect for both experienced practitioners and those who are new to yoga.”

“Angelica’s archipelago morning yoga on the dock has become the most precious moments of the summer. She does it so beautifully, welcoming people on the islands and adjusting to the different levels.

For me, these are cherished memories of serenity that I carry into the Swedish winter. I have also attended one of Angelica’s retreats in France. A different magical venue but with the same top expertise yoga practice.”
